Is BusinessMoneyFinder a government service?
No. BusinessMoneyFinder is an independent sign-posting service, not a government body and not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The decision on any claim always rests with the relevant authority — your council, the VOA, HMRC or your energy supplier.
How does the business check work?
You answer a few plain-English questions about the business — structure, premises, payroll, energy, and what you have bought and built. Your answers are checked against the official gov.uk, HMRC, VOA and Ofgem rules. You then get a full report with ready-to-send letters to your council, the VOA, HMRC and your energy supplier, filled in with your business details.
Does BusinessMoneyFinder take a cut of what my business claims?
No. BusinessMoneyFinder never takes a share of anything your business receives — one flat subscription, and the claim is yours. Where the official process is free, such as checking your rateable value, it is shown to you first, before any specialist referral.
